Will this fit my battery?
Klamp fits all SAE and DIN standard battery terminals, which covers the majority of Australian, American, and European vehicles.
Works with cars, 4WDs, vans, trucks, caravans, motorhomes, and boats. If your vehicle is Japanese-made (Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, etc.), your battery may use smaller JIS terminals which require conversion sleeves (we can supply these).

Do I need any tools to install it?
Installation is a one-time job that takes about 2-5 minutes. You'll need wire cutters to remove your old terminals and a screwdriver to secure your cables into the clamp housing. After that, connecting and disconnecting is completely tool-free, for life. See our full installation guide here.

We offer a 30-day return policy, no questions asked. If it's not right for your setup, just reach out and we'll sort it. Every Klamp also comes with a 1-year product warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Is it safe for high-amp systems?
Yes, Klamp is rated safely up to 800A, built from copper alloy and marine-grade stainless steel 316, the same materials used in industrial and military applications.
It supports wire sizes from 15mm² up to 70mm², which is far beyond what most vehicles require. Klamp is TÜV NORD certified and is used in Daimler, Unimog, and Volvo military vehicles.
Will disconnecting my battery reset my car's settings?
For long-term storage or seasonal use, this isn't an issue, it's actually the point. For quick disconnections (under 30 seconds), most modern vehicles will retain their settings without any problems.
If you plan to disconnect frequently on a newer vehicle, a small OBD2 memory saver plugged in during disconnection will keep your ECU, radio presets, and window calibrations intact.

Remove the Old Terminal
Use wire cutters or side cutters to remove the original battery terminal connector.

Strip & Prep the Wire
Strip off around 10–12mm of insulation to expose clean copper. Make sure the wire is straight, not frayed/bent.

Insert the Wire Into 'Klamp'
Slide the bare wire all the way into the clamp housing until it stops. Make sure it sits snug and centred.

Place it on the Terminal
Sit the clamp directly over the battery post. (positive = red, negative = black).

Compress to Lock
Press the clamp down firmly, it locks into place and grips the post securely.

You're Connected
Place the Klamp on the battery post and press down to lock. Done, no tools needed ever againo.

Japanese-made vehicles (Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc.) often use slightly smaller JIS battery posts. Klamp will fit with the addition of terminal conversion sleeves. Contact us and we can supply these.

Klamp accommodates three wire size ranges: 15–25mm², 20–40mm², and 40–70mm². This covers everything from standard passenger vehicles up to heavy-duty 4WD, commercial, and marine setups.
Klamp measures 67mm × 51mm × 26mm when closed, and 68mm tall when in the release position. This fits comfortably in most standard engine bays, battery boxes, and caravan battery trays. If you have a particularly tight setup, measure 68mm of clearance above your battery posts before purchasing.

Yes. Klamp is specifically designed with built-in jumper cable access, so you can connect jump leads while the terminal is still attached to the battery. No need to remove anything.

Yes, you'll cut off your old terminal connectors and strip the cable end to expose clean copper wire. This is a permanent upgrade, not a clip-on accessory. The result is a cleaner, more secure, and more reliable connection than your original bolt-on terminals.
Most customers install Klamp themselves in under 5 minutes with basic hand tools. No electrical knowledge is needed, just follow our installation guide. If you'd prefer professional installation, any auto electrician or mechanic can do it quickly and cheaply.
Klamp comes as a colour-coded pair, red for positive (+) and black for negative (−). Always connect positive first when installing. Always disconnect negative first when removing.
The consumer version uses a bolt-in connection secured with a screwdriver, which is the easiest method for DIY installation. OJOP also manufactures OEM crimp-fit versions for professional or high-volume installations, contact us if you need these.

Every Klamp comes with a 1-year product warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, modification, or normal wear and tear.
Contact us with a description and a photo or short video. If it's a manufacturing defect, we'll send a replacement free of charge, we won't make you wait for us to receive the faulty unit before shipping the new one.
Klamp is built from corrosion-resistant materials (copper alloy and stainless steel 316), but performance can vary depending on environmental exposure. If you're using Klamp in a marine or high-salt environment, we recommend the tin-plated marine variant for maximum protection. General corrosion from extreme neglect or chemical exposure is not covered under warranty.
